Premise

Online or face to face, training is traditionally equated with listening. Does any application of learning occur? When lectures end, learners pass tests and collect certificates before re-entering society with no authentic shift in their ability to utilize new material. In a facilitator-led Learning Circle innovative content is constructively designed for experiential learning - learning by doing.

Description

OLD DAYS, OLD WAYS

Past Educational experiences and related problems are categorized as:
(1) TEACHING AND TRAINING – Information vs. skills oriented with no accountability to learners

(2) COACHING - Individual-based, customized and performance driven, but un-scalable
(3) VIRTUAL ONLINE – Leading edge technology featuring outdated, ineffective content

21ST CENTURY FACILITATED LEARNING

A Facilitator's role is to enable and encourage team members to access and evaluate information patterns; not serve as a domain expert or be the source of facts or knowledge. Facilitators guide the double and triple loop Learning Circle continuum wherein participants take responsibility for the frequency and quality of their contributions, and ultimately for their own learning.
What the process means for participants is they practice their way to success while contributing to each and every member of the group. Collective intelligence is a by-product of sharing, testing, questioning, evaluating, and adopting ideas in space where it is safe to learn. Pattern focus, creativity, and team dynamics, provide a foundation for autonomy and lifelong learning.

Dissatisfied with contemporary methods of teaching ESL which often left learners without the speaking skills and confidence they needed to succeed, I innovated and pioneered my own ESL instruction programs. My methods, renowned for their radical approach to teaching are based on how students learn and unique insights into language patterns that are always true. My material has been instrumental in assisting millions world-wide with more effective ways of acquiring English proficiency.
