Premise

Whether it is technology or business, a global career may be the ultimate goal for most professionals. Do we have the necessary competencies and or mind-set to achieve it? Have we done a real self-assessment? Do we start exploring a foundation now? Would we welcome a chance to discover our hidden skills and compete for an opportunity to collaborate and learn with global corporate professionals?

Description

Global Careers is a virtual collaborative program aimed to facilitate learning about global competencies and mind-set. The program also aims to assist in enhancing communication skills, discovering and assessing our own global competencies.

Cross Cultural Relationship Skills, Traits & Values, Global Business Expertise, Cognitive Orientations, Global Organization Expertise and Visioning are the six categories of a comprehensive matrix containing thirty-nine global competencies.

Led by our facilitators, the schedule gets underway with ice-breaking followed by self-introductions. Seems pretty easy, but is it really?

We then open up discussions around couple of the more popular competencies and then followed by LSRW practice sessions. As we progress in our careers, positively communicating our opinion and being critical of others is a skill that simply cannot be underestimated and it needs to be practiced and developed.

During this program, Magma Global’ ultimate goal is to identify and then invite the truly proactive, passionate and committed learning professionals to join us in various other learning programs collaborating with global corporate professionals.
